Lockheed Martin Maintenance Trainer Senior (Structures) in Fort Worth, Texas
Establishes and delivers technical training programs targeted on the assembly, maintenance, repair, and operation of aircraft, aircraft systems, ground equipment, tools, and test equipment. Serves as a Subject Matter Expert to assist assigned programs in determining training needs and developing required training. Conducts training needs analyses and develops curriculum that is designed to enable sustained behavioral change and achievement of program, international client or business area priorities. Prepares training plans and produces materials for technical instruction. Establishes training solutions to support mission critical Aeronautics’ projects. Maintains currency in technical developments and training methodologies including technical contracts, orders and specifications. Drives lateral connectivity and collaboration within HR and across the enterprise. Delivers data-driven learning solutions that are efficient, effective, and flexible. • Plans and delivers aircraft structural maintenance and assembly training programs for production employees, international customers, and field support personnel. • Conducts training and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. • Executes and maintains company-wide training programs as well as the maintenance of a company-wide training and qualification record system. • Responsible for instilling and maintaining process discipline through classroom instruction and lab sessions. • Prepares classrooms and sets-up training materials; conducts classroom, shop and simulator training (if required) with customers for the purpose of developing and maintaining a high degree of proficiency. • Maintains currency in technical developments, technical training, and audiovisual techniques including the maintenance of applicable courseware. • Interfaces with Global Training Team to determine training and certification requirements for students, both local and international, and make recommendations to supervision/management for de-certification due to substandard performance and/or the inability to complete assigned tasks within established time parameters. • May revise lesson plans to keep technical information up to date and meet new training requirements. • May perform data analysis and gather information for new training; prepare and maintain training materials; and coordinate the development of new training materials and training aids. • May coordinate training content with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). • May analyze current operating problems and future operating requirements to identify training needs and develop training programs
Basic Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in aircraft manufacturing • Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office or similar programs for writing, editing, and producing materials for technical instruction and communication.
Desired skills • 2+ years of instructional experience Experience with drilling and reaming operations, sheet metal work, composite/metal assembly, reading and interpreting blueprints, fastener installation and removal, working with standard shop tools, bonding techniques and sealants. • Experience in aircraft manufacturing training including Instructional System Design (ISD) concepts • Able to establish and deliver training systems and/or conduct classroom and practical instruction to provide technical knowledge on maintenance and structural assembly. • Strong verbal and written skills • Strong Computer skills.
