Technical Trainer – Quality Assurance

Plans and delivers quality assurance systems training programs for factory production employees and field support personnel.
Conducts training and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
Executes and maintains company-wide quality assurance training programs as well as the maintenance of a company-wide training and qualification record system.
Responsible for instilling and maintaining process discipline through classroom instruction and lab sessions.
Prepares classrooms and sets-up training materials; conducts classroom, shop and simulator training (if required) with customers for the purpose of developing and maintaining a high degree of proficiency.
Maintains currency in quality assurance and inspection developments, technical training, and audiovisual techniques including the maintenance of applicable courseware.
Interfaces with the Quality Assurance Department to determine training and certification requirements for assigned personnel and make recommendations to supervision/management for de-certification due to substandard performance and/or the inability to complete assigned tasks within established time parameters.
Assist in shaping the quality culture within the facility by reinforcing quality principles and company policies
May revise lesson plans to keep technical information up to date and meet new training requirements.
May perform data analysis and gather information for new training; prepare and maintain training materials; and coordinate the development of new training materials and training aids.
May coordinate with site Quality Assurance professionals to meet new quality assurance training requirements.
May analyze current operating problems and future operating requirements to identify training needs and develop training programs
The successful candidate will possess four years of experience in quality assurance, quality principles, and an overall knowledge of aircraft manufacturing and ground operations
Candidate will also possess approximately two years providing instruction in quality assurance, quality principles, or aircraft manufacturing and ground operations
Military aviation experience a plus
Bachelor’s degree is a plus and will be taken into consideration when looking at experience
Comprehensive knowledge of quality assurance, quality principles, and an overall knowledge of aircraft manufacturing and ground operations
Experience with quality inspection training requirements for sheet metal work, reading and interpreting blueprints, fastener installation and removal, working with standard shop tools, bonding techniques and sealants
Experience with quality inspection training, instructor skills, analytical skills
Able to establish and direct Quality inspection training systems and/or conduct classroom and practical instruction to provide knowledge and skills in sheet metal work, reading and interpreting blueprints, fastener installation and removal, working with standard shop tools, bonding techniques and sealants
Capable of writing, editing, and producing materials for technical instruction; provide assistance and support to production operations by helping determine training needs; and delivering effective finishes training
Instructor skills including classroom lecture and lab presentations.
