ob Duties: ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan and implement goals, objectives, and activities as stated in the Head Start Performance Standards, under Child Development and Health Services as well as Disabilities Services. 1. Communicate and ensure compliance of the most current federal, state and local regulations, standards, policies, procedures, and requirements. 2. Maintain a plan of implementation for the program areas (D/MH/ECE) 3. Responsive to the individualized situations and challenges of all migrant children with disabilities and their families. 4. Develop and maintain a data tracking structure, monitor trends, reports, and make changes to systems as needed. 5. Provide guidance and service as a resource person for the Regional and Center Staff 6. Provide guidance, training, and technical assistance for the Regional Child Development and D/MH Coordinators 7. Provide input for performance evaluations of regional staff for the program areas 8. Conduct site visits to center and regional sites to provide training and technical assistance and monitor service delivery 9. Select developmentally and age appropriate center curriculum, resources, materials, and equipment while adhering to TMC approval procedures 10. Collaborate with MSHS Director, Program Area Lead Coordinators, and governing bodies on curricula choices 11. Monitor MH contracts and ECI agreements 12. Collaborate with the ERSEA/PFCE Lead Coordinator to develop LEA templates for use by regional staff 13. Submit monthly reports to MSHS Director 14. Assist regional staff in locating local providers/resources for evaluation and treatment of special needs children 15. Report program child outcomes analysis to the governing bodies, program, and the community The above statements are not a complete list of all roles and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employee may perform other related roles and responsibilities as assigned by their supervisor. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION: 1. Bachelor s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Special Education, or Psychology 2. Five (5) years direct teaching experience with children birth through compulsory school age 3. Five (5) years experience in adult education and training, as well as management experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION: 1. Bilingual in English and Spanish 2. Head Start o Migrant Head Start management 3. Five (5) years experience coordinating education or disabilities services in an ECE program 4. Master s degree in Early Childhood Education or Developmental Psychology ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATIONS Must become a PK CLASS Affiliate Trainer within one (1) year of hire Participate in Self-Assessment and Community Assessment Processes Must demonstrate good training and presentation skills Must be able to travel Must be able to operate a licensed motor vehicle Must possess a valid state driver s license and maintain a satisfactory driver s record Must abide by all safety work rules and actively participate in the Risk Management Program
