Baylor Scott & White Health Clinical Educator I in Temple, Texas
The Clinical Educator I performs clinical activities including patient care, teaching, consultation, research and maintaining public relations within the institution and community. The Clinical Educator I provides specialized care and education in area of specialty for a defined group of patients. The Clinical Educator I develops, coordinates, provides and evaluates educational programs to promote staff and community education. The Clinical Educator I designs measurement tools to evaluate the achievement of learning goals and the efficacy of the curriculum content and teaching strategies. The Clinical Educator I will represents Baylor Scott & White in a professional manner at community activities including speaking engagements and health fairs and serves as a liaison to other healthcare agencies and services. The Clinical Educator I advances research activities to improve educational programs, clinical practice and patient outcomes. The Clinical Educator I functions as a subject matter expert to support and promote patient, family and staff education and understanding in specialty area. The ideal candidate has the ability to communicate clearly and in a supportive manner with patients and/or family regarding condition, prognosis, health needs and available services and has the ability to collaborate with management and staff to identify and assess learning needs.
