Job Description

The College of Arts, Sciences and Education at Texas A&M University-Texarkana is currently seeking an outstanding candidate in Educational Leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership for the superintendent and doctoral program.

Major/Essential Duties of Job: Responsibilities for the position include:

Teach graduate courses in superintendent and Ed.D. program.

Provide leadership for doctoral program.

Advise superintendent and doctoral candidates.

Perform scholarly activities.

Serve on department, college and university committees.

Serve on professional committees.

Work collaboratively with faculty in program development and across disciplines.

Contribute to curriculum and course development.

Required Education and Experience:

An earned doctorate in Educational Leadership or related field from an accredited institution.

Eligible for superintendent license in Texas.

Administrative experience in public schools.

Experience on dissertation committees.

The following are desirable skills:

Strong collaboration skills.

Successful graduate teaching experience.

Experience as dissertation chair.

Experience with accreditation processes.

Experience with online instruction.

Knowledge of experiential learning.
