Provide extensive outpatient nutritional
education and guidance to advise patients in food, diet and nutrition by
developing treatment plans.
Position Key Accountabilities:
- Assist with teaching activities in the diabetes
- Provides medical nutrition therapy to meet
- Performs nutrition screening, evaluation and
assessment for patients
Develop educational material and tools
Assist with research projects including but not
- Marketing, promoting, and raising awareness
about nutrition services through communication with area health professionals
- Development of reports and maintenance of CDC
accreditation and AADE diabetes program reporting.
8.Conducts and ensures clinical nutrition
documentation for patients is accurate, informative and timely, including
assessment for new admissions as appropriate, reassessment, food/drug
interactions, and specialized nutrition support as needed.
- Monitors industry trends, new products,
current research, and new programs in medical nutrition therapy and foodservice
and incorporates into his/her work as needed.
- Develop additional nutritional programs to
address needs of the patient population.
- Other duties as assigned.
Registered Dietitian by the Academy of Nutrition and
Maintains dietetic registration and continuing
education hours as specified by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and
state licensure regulations where applicable. Ability to use an electronic
medical record and Microsoft Office products.r
Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics
Nutrition, or related field. Master’s degree and/or CDE certification
One year experience is required..
Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
